There are hundreds of reasons the search term "Work at Home" is one of the more popular search terms on the internet today. Recently, I used a free search tool from Word Tracker and found the daily search for this term to be around 10,000.

It’s no wonder "work at home" jobs seem to be gaining popularity. Imagine, no commute, work in your PJ’s, work on your couch, make the same amount in 4 hours as you used to in 8 hours, quit your current job, and the list goes on.

I will usually sit on the couch watching evening TV, write an article such as this, put it on the internet by using one of my promotions, usually free advertising, and wake up to money in my account. I can use this method to promote any affiliate product I want using products from places like Clickbank.

Naturally, many people are interested in using online promotions as a way to internet riches. You must be careful though, as there are people out there promoting their schemes that are here today and gone tomorrow. Usually gone with your hard earned money.

I usually take the program name and put it to the scam test. I will go to Google and enter in the search box "Program Name Scam". Put it in quotes and also try without quotes. Remember, those scammed tend to post on the internet using various articles and blogs. These get indexed rapidly and are available in short order for your review. Just because someone lost their money, doesn’t mean it’s a scam. Sometimes it means they bought the program and didn’t really try hard enough to promote it.

If you are just starting out on the internet, I recommend a program that includes all the tools you need to get started. Choose a program that includes your own website or affiliate link, advertising and promotion tools, tips, tricks, ebooks, software downloads, email programs and other resources. It’s hard to find a program with all these tools, but they are out there. When you find one, jump on board, and dive in with both feet.

After doing considerable research, I found a very well established and financially solid internet-based company to work with. Using my business experience in the "offline world" and developing my internet marketing skills on the fly in an OJT (aka: on-the-job-training) format, things have gone very well and I recently spent some time trying to identify some of the primary traits that are common in my most successful team members.

Whether you're breeding bird dogs, or race horses, or drafting college football players to play in the NFL...it's important to develop "markers" that can be very useful in predicting success. From my offline, traditional, business experience I have known this from the get-go, but for some reason I was slow to learn (or, was it re-learn?) that identifying the people with a high likelihood of success is even more important when developing an online network marketing business that depends upon teamwork.

Reflecting back on many of the truly successful people I have worked with in network marketing, I made a list of the numerous success factors that emerged when I assessed each person individually. After compiling the list, three factors seemed to stand out as being the most common success indicators. In no particular order, these factors were:

I don’t bring the stress of everyday events into my now…into my moment. I’ve learned that when you can master the moment you can mater your reality.

Life has simple rules and should not be complicated by emotional baggage. For many people in network marketing the emotional baggage is something that they refuse to leave at the door. They become emotionally attached to the outcome of their efforts when they are prospecting for customers or people to join their home business. They wonder why others are not just jumping in the boat and coming along for the ride because they are thinking "This is the best network marketing company or home business in the world why doesn’t everyone see it"

I think I have found the answer to that question. Simply put most people are not living in the moment. They are thinking about how can they afford to join or I don’t have time to do it because I work or a thousand other reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with making a decision about changing their life from ordinary to extraordinary.

It is hard to be a leader and most people would prefer to be a follower and live that ordinary life. Leaders on the other hand live extraordinary lives and the truth is there is nothing separating you from living that kind of life except the decision to make it happen. The quality of your life will be determined by the questions you ask. How can I do more in my home business? How can I enroll more people into my network marketing company are the questions that need to be answered not "Can I get my money back if this doesn’t work out?" You are most effective when you are in the moment asking questions and listening to your prospect, not feeding them all types of data about your company and products. It's HARD! Most home-based working moms and other entrepreneurs are saying the same thing now, how do I do it all? How can I run a business and balance a family at the same time? The pressure of clients, busy schedules, snow days, etc., can be daunting. I know, I've been working at home since 1985 and although it gets easier, it is still a challenge.

Here are tips for finding balance. They have helped me considerably. I hope they help you as well.

1. Keep in mind that it's a learning process. No one is perfect. One of the greatest gifts I did learn was to no longer beat myself up so much. So what if I didn't do it all today. So what if my house didn't pass a white glove test today (or ever). I really enjoy my business. I really enjoy my family. I feel as long as I set a good example for my kids, and keep my clients happy the best I can, I'm a winner today.

2. To be able to get it all done and enjoy your family, create boundaries, both work-related and personal. You don't want to have to do it all and once you start saying no, you'll be amazed how truly awesome it feels. When you keep in control, things run better. Plus, I believe both your family and clients appreciate knowing what is expected of them.

3. Have a schedule to follow and stick to it as much as possible. Avoid unnecessary interruptions, including constant e-mail checking. Set a timer for checking emails, message boards, routine tasks. Think of time as money. Avoid time robbers such as friends that IM all day just to chat. This isn't to say you can't have fun and friends, you want that, just keep control and don't let it interrupt your day.

4. Get out of the office and do your work whenever possible. I do a lot of writing and proofing as a publicist and virtual assistant. Instead of sitting in the office, I go outside and work. It feels great to have a change of pace. A good cup of java and I'm good to go. Plus, find out if you can take your kids places and work. I will often go places that my kids can play, while I work.

5. Multitask whenever possible. When I prepare dinner, I will often do a crock-pot meal with the meat designated and also prepare a meal in the oven as well so I'll get two meals out of it. You feel like you have a day off on Day 2. Also, I'll prepare lunch for tomorrow at dinner. That way I can prepare a healthy lunch and snack the night before for both of us. When I'm not in a rush in the morning, I have more time to devote to putting healthy things together. You'd be amazed how good it feels to stop and eat a pre-made salad or sandwich while working instead of grabbing for something else.

6. Take small vacations to get away. Plan a Friday, Saturday, Sunday vacation. This helps because we don't feel overworked. Also, when you're busy, don't let exercise and going to the gym be the things you give up. You need those for energy.

7. Take weekends and evenings off. It's so easy to get caught up working 24/7. But when you take this time off, you feel so much more energized. And you get to connect more with your children.

Working at home can be a challenge, but it can also be the most rewarding journey ever. I believe that not only I benefit from the experience, but my children as well. They get to see a confident positive mom who loves going to work every day. And that's priceless

1) If something appears on my list more than three weeks in a row, I force myself to make a decision about whether I’m going to do the task or drop it from my list.

2) Every time I see a piece of paper, I will mark it the first time I see it with a cross, the second time with a triangle and the third time with a circle. If a piece of paper has got all three on them, I must either do it or drop it.

3) I will often try to do the same type of tasks together i.e. all calls together, all emails together. This really helps get rid of the tasks that I don’t like doing.

4) I play games with tasks too. So, I’ll do something easy and then something hard followed by something easy. I can’t move on to the easy thing until I’ve finished the hard thing.

5) Staple pages of your diary together so that you can’t put any appointments in there. When you reach that week, you’ll have a whole week to do the work you want to do. No appointments can go in there no matter what.

6) If you’re struggling to get something done and it can be done on a laptop, try taking your laptop with you when you’re out and about. You can either work on the document in between meetings or deliberately go to a café and work. It’s a lot easier to get things done if you’re out and about.

7) Give yourself a reward for completing unpleasant tasks. They rarely turn out or take as long as you think they will.

8) Break large jobs down into more manageable chunks. Think about the immediate next step for the task and do that.

9) If you find you’re delaying because you can’t make up your mind, set a deadline for making a decision and stick to it. Share the deadline with someone else and talk through your decision with them.

10) Remember things will rarely be perfect. If you’re delaying something because you want it to be perfect, recognise that 80% for you may well be 100% for someone else. You can always change it later – it’s much easier to change once you’ve already done it.

11) I can get bored with a task quite quickly, so I make myself stay in my chair and not move, look at the Internet or do anything else until I’ve completed the task I’m working on.

12) You don’t have to finish all of the task in one go…finish up to a certain point and then come back to it on another day.

13) Don’t let other people distract you from your task. Isolate yourself. Put up a sign, work in a café, put on headphones (people are a lot less likely to talk to you).

14) Stand up when you’re on the phone. You’re much more likely to get off it quicker. Try this same trick if someone comes into where you’re working to disturb you. If you’re standing up, they’re much less likely to sit down and get comfortable.

15) Invent a meeting that you really need to go out for. Confess that you promised to call someone back about a confidential matter at exactly this time. This will bring an unimportant discussion to an end.

Some of the big online earners were asked, what was some of the things you did when you first started out online to produce a profit and what advice can you give to a newcomer to the business? Some of the answers we got went like this -

The very first online business I got into I was an affiliate and really advertised the hell out of it, the affiliate system I joined was Success University. Being an affiliate for those who don’t know is simply selling some big companies product. This is very good for someone now starting out because all you do is sell, you’re not involved in collecting payments, deliveries, stocking and all these business related stuff. I made awesome money with Success University. Secondly I started promoting Host4Profit which is a web hosting company and I made money month after month. I then concentrated on building a list. I have now created my own product and get affiliates to sell them for me.

Back in the day I started off designing websites. This provided a steady income but just a little not sufficient to support me full time, I then got into selling on eBay but still did not make enough to survive full time. I continued these two ventures and then became an affiliate at Get Response; this is a company that offers an auto responder service that pays a monthly commission for every sale that you make. I now make a nice monthly income with these 3 programs. I am now looking into bringing in another affiliate program called Empowerism.

My first go at internet marketing was a I started a web directory and made a few hundred dollars a month which I still do to this date, I then got into list building which proved to be a very wise decision, I have a very responsive list of about 30000 subscribers, this has given me the tools to be a very successful affiliate because I can sell products to these subscribers month after month after month. When your consumer first comes to your homepage, they want three things up front: your product's title, what it does, and how much it costs. You have to employ effective copy writing that will convince your consumer that they should stay on your website and use your services.

Consider your own internet experience. How many times have you gone to a website for a product, only to be bogged down by two or three paragraphs about the discovery of the product on the front page? Or how the product works? Did you buy that product? If you're like most web-shoppers, you immediately clicked the "X" button and went elsewhere for a similar product. The front page simply had too much in one small space, and you had too little time to read it all.

Your audience doesn't want a diatribe about how you discovered your product, or why they should buy it on the front page- all of that comes later! The ideal website should open with a simple title page that has your products title and a few concise sentences about what it actually accomplishes. The sentences should be snappy and straight to the point. You should incorporate something unique in this sentences as well- how is your product different than all the other products out there? Why should the consumer buy your product over everyone else's?

Another important consideration is the graphics you choose for your site. Your logo should be clear at the top of every page. Ideally, if you can, come up with a creative motto for your site! Keep in mind this motto should not be more than 5-7 words, at the most. Attach the motto to your graphic for a professional look.

You should then have a clear navigation bar that lists whatever other information you want to convey to the consumer. Never use more than three words in your bullets that you list in your navigation bar. A simple "History", "How To Use", "Catalog", "Articles" and other titles similar to these suffice to grab the consumer's attention.

Now that you have a professional title page with these key elements, you must make sure you have enough staying power so your consumer continues to browse your site. You can increase your staying power with a few simple tricks: keep the pages consistent throughout, make sure every single link works, and keep the text on your site concise and appropriate.

The more consistent your pages are throughout your site, the more professional and credible YOU look. Also, never publish your site online until you are 110% sure that every link is functional. The moment your consumer clicks on a non-functioning link, they usually click "X" the next and stop using your site. Finally, the hardest part for you as a seller is coming up with the text of your site. A page on your site should NEVER have more than 3-4 paragraphs, especially if you have a site that deals with the average consumer. When a consumer opens up your "How To Use" page, and you have more than a page of text, they usually scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. The consumer quickly becomes disheartened at the amount of effort they have to put into your site just to see how to use your product! They lose interest and quickly stop using your site.

If you are a graphics-intensive site, make sure that you don't boggle down your consumers with too many high-impact graphics on one page. Using too many bright colors and flashy graphics can make a site look unprofessional and less credible. Consumers may start to think you are trying to distract them with "shiny graphics". Keep your graphics simple, concise and professional. Your ads that you place should be discreet and seamlessly flow with the tables in your site. If you have an ad-based website, make sure that each ad banner has the same general size. If you have few that aren't the same shape or size as the others, add spice to your site by using tables to set ads side by side.

Using these simple and effective copywriting methods on your professional website will ensure you look professional, credible, and motivated to satisfy your consumer! What stress I hear you ask? Most people want to work at home due to there being no travelling involved and the lack of a boss breathing down your neck. When first examined, it may appear like the perfect opportunity of working at home, working your own hours and not having anyone tell you what to do. Unfortunately, amidst all of this home business paradise, there will be some stress involved and if the stress begins to overtake the amount of fun you should be having while working at home, it may be time to step back to see what has gone wrong.

One the most stressful aspects of running your own home based business is irregular paydays. During the time spent working for someone else, chances are you received a regular paycheck once a week, or at least once a month. You knew about how much to expect and when to expect it. If overtime was offered, it meant extra money and again, you knew when it would be given to you. Chances are there was also a health care plan you could join at a reasonable cost as well as retirement benefits. Paid vacations are another benefit usually enjoyed by employees and in some cases sick days and personal time.

When you are considering your home based business opportunity, all of those things are going to go away. When you are working at home you are earning money and most times you will get paid once the job is turned in and approved. However, each week the amount of your check may be a little different. Sometimes it will be more, other times it could be less. If you are working with different companies, the income may come at different times and although all the different streams of income can add up to a tidy sum, there will be some stress involved if one or more of the streams is running a little slow.

Very often, I have gone through pages and pages of MLM hypes, looking for addresses and telephone numbers of people to give me information. They either do not exist, or, as in the case of telephone numbers, they only take messages. Of course, they never get back to you.

Trust me, the obvious is always not the rule on the internet, and thousands of companies operate with nothing more than a website and an email address.

Many of them are here today and gone tomorrow. Make sure the business you intend to deal with has a fixed address, physical location, and established phone number.

Really, should you be doing business with total strangers? People you do not know or who were not referred by reputable people that you know?

The rule of the 'copy', killer letters, pages optimized to hypnotize you and get you rushing for your wallet, have made sane choices an endangered specie on the internet.

You should therefore go one step further. Insist on talking to a real human being before you join.You need to talk to people who have made something out of the business and I am not talking of all those untrustworthy testimonials that now litter the 'trust me' horizon of the internet..

The thing to do here is to either bid on the product name, words with the product name or something very specific. To show you, say my product is named "overnight weight loss genie", then my keywords would be "overnight weight loss genie"," overnight weight loss genie review"," overnight weight loss genie program" and etc. I would not use too generic a name like "weight loss" as they are too common and my money would be wasted.

So my progress after having run the above ad campaign for about 16 hours was an expenditure of $1.60 in advertising and a cool profit of $30 by way of commission. After that I went on to create some 100 different pages all dealing with different affiliate products. That is how I am able to make a cool $1,200 per month. The US Tax system is pretty complex. It involves the local government, municipal, township, district and county governments. Also involved are regional entities such as utilities and school systems as well as state and federal governments.

Every person earning and income in the US must pay taxes both on the Federal and State levels. Tax returns must be filed before the 15th of April every year. Most employers deduct from the pay checks of their employees and pay the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) directly. Those who are self-employed can pay directly to the government. Federal taxes include Social Security and FICA. In addition, each state has its own income tax system. The withholding amount depends on the individual’s conditions such as marital status and their number of dependants.

The income tax is progressive. There are 6 tax brackets for ordinary income and this is further divided into 4 categories: single, married filing jointly or qualified widow(er), married filing separately and head of household. The tax percentage increases with income. For example, if you are single you will be taxed 10% up to $7550 of earnings. From there up to $30,650 you will be taxed at 15%. From $30,651 to $74,200, you will be taxed at 25%. The tax percentage keeps on increasing in this manner up to 35%.

If a tax payer has made any errors in filing his/her tax return, then an amended return must be filed with the IRS. An amended return need not be filed in the case of a math error as the IRS will make the necessary changes.

Citizenship or residency also comes to play in tax rules in the United States. A US citizen not living in the country is still liable to be taxed based on his or her world-wide income. In the same way a non-citizen who has sources of income in the US is liable for taxation.

There are many types of tax forms you will encounter when filing a tax return. Finding out which ones are the simplest for you will make the process easier and enable the IRS to process your tax return speedily.

I just got off the phone with Michael Fortin, one of the top copywriters and conversion experts on the web.

We were doing a seminar for our members on conversion and testing for website owners wanting more out of the traffic they already enjoy, rather than constantly having to promote their sites to support low conversion rates. Specifically, we were talking about all the things you can do to test different "calls to action."

A call to action is anything you are trying to get people to do on any particular site or page of a site. It could be buying a product or service, getting people on an announcement list or newsletter, or getting people to click on your advertising links.

Most web publishers are so happy when they finally have a site up that they consider their work done and get right to marketing it. Once the traffic rolls in, they enjoy whatever sales or clicks they get and try to make more money by driving MORE traffic to the site.

Then they start building another site. And another. And another.

This is a disturbing trend that is creating a massive amount of waste. Both in resources and time. Especially when it comes to niche publishers who are building massive networks of sites on different topics in order to capture emails, generate advertising revenue, sell affiliated products and services, or to build their lists to generate backend sales to their subscribers.

The waste is generated when people are in too big a hurry to build more sites, add more products, and get more traffic to sites that can convert sometimes 1000% BETTER than they do now.

They are moving at a hectic pace, in this scenario, to build, when their income goals can most often easily be met without so much waste.

One example of waste is when someone builds a content-dry site that has nothing but Adsense and some links on it. People hit that kind of site and can't wait to find a reason to leave. The thinking is, "Great! My 'click thru ratio' is sky high! I am getting almost everyone to click on my ads!"

But here's what's happening in reality: you are working VERY hard to get traffic to such a site, only to "burn" it on a 35 cent click! No email capture, no follow-up, and most importantly no desire on the part of the visitor to EVER see your site again!

Would you rather have someone come through your site and click immediately on an advertiser's link, never to return? Or would you rather have someone come to your site, read some great content, sign up for your list and not click on ANY links that first time?

I will take scenario #2 any day of the week. And I won't have made a single penny off of that person with that initial action. But I will in the future!

If you have a site that you constantly test and tweak for performance (beyond its ability to repulse your visitors into clicking on an advertisement just to get to a QUALITY site) then you have a real business.

You can test and track SO MANY variables to make a site more profitable than it is now. Every site on the web can perform better than it does right now. Every single one!

The people who understand this never stop testing their calls to action to get their visitors to do more than something that results in a one-time action.

Traffic is the most expensive thing on the web both in the time it takes to get it and the resources you have to use up for each and every hit.

The traffic you have now might be all the traffic you EVER need on a daily basis to make a killing with your site. You will never know until you test and track everything about your site.

The headlines, the offers, the opt-in forms, the guarantees, testimonials, bullets, Adsense placement, follow-up... In short, every webmaster on the net has a lot of work to do on every site they own if they really want to reap the kinds of profits their sites are actually capable of pulling in.

Most people get a site up and are happy with the sales or clicks they get and move on. NO! You are leaving so much money on the table thinking you are done with a site right after you put it up.

That site is the worst it should ever be! Wasting another domain fee, hosting fee, bandwidth and the costs associated with getting traffic to a brand new site before you have optimized your current site for the very best conversion it can pull is NOT good business practice.

I know people who have literally thousands of domains. And one thing I can guarantee you is this: They are making a pittance, even if they are making $60,000 a DAY, in comparison to what they COULD be making with far fewer sites and more testing and tweaking of that smaller group!

1. Skills

What skills do you need to develop? Do you need to learn about marketing, sales, copywriting, communicating, technology, networking, organizing, presenting, leading or prioritizing?

Business leaders are master marketers and sales people. Regardless of your chosen field of endeavor, developing those two skills is absolutely critical to your success.

Of course, they don't complete the recipe. Identify other important skills you'll need and create a plan to start acquiring them.

2. Mindset

What disempowering beliefs block you from taking action, making decisions, having confidence and giving everything you've got to create the success and happiness you deserve?

You're not alone if you're fighting internal battles. Corporate executives, successful business owners and many professionals sabotage their potential to enjoy true happiness in all areas of life.

These challenges affect virtually everyone regardless of gender, nationality, religion, family status, socio-economic background or financial status, and more often than not link back to experiences from our youth.

Positive relationships support you. Negative relationships, real or imagined create harm.

4. Environments

How are your environments supporting you?

Is your physical environment clear of clutter? This includes your home, office and vehicles. Are you surrounded by unhealthy foods or toxic substances? Do you have toxic people in your life who drain your energy?

What about your financial environment?

Can you accurately state how much cash flow you have, how much you bring in each month and how much is spent each month and on what?

Can you forecast upcoming expenditures and do you have a plan to meet them?

Do you know how to correctly interpret an income statement or balance sheet?

You may choose to have someone take care of your bookkeeping and accounting, but as a responsible business owner, it is imperative you understand what's going on.

Your body is also an environment.

Does it receive adequate fuel (sleep and healthy food) and exercise? This environment provides energy, clear thinking, stamina, and mobility. Without this vehicle, you would not have a business ... or life. Do you treat it with the respect and appreciation it deserves?

Do you need to learn about healthy eating, yoga, meditation, strength or stamina building exercises? Do you withhold visiting a doctor even though you're experiencing discomfort or obvious symptoms of a health issue?

Without your body, the game is over.

The degree of your business (and life) success directly relates to the degree you invest in all four cornerstones.

Choosing to focus only on one, two or three leads to a lop-sided result -- much like a four-legged chair with a missing leg. It can't stand on its own.

In order to address these four cornerstones, you may have to read books, take courses or programs, join organizations, seek out mentors or coaches, find mastermind partners, and surround yourself with people who can provide you with what you need.

If cost is an issue, start with your local library and Internet searches. You'll find plenty of helpful resources at zero cost. Tap into the minds of brilliant entrepreneurs and industry leaders. Learn about their challenges and follow their journey to success.

Contact a local business person you respect and ask if you can interview him. Most people say yes to this request because people generally like to help others.

You don't have to try to eat the whole elephant in one bite. Start simple by selecting one or two areas to focus your attention on and create an action plan that allows you to spread your efforts evenly across the four cornerstones.

For example, you can start cleaning up your physical environment while checking a book out from the library on the subject of sales, marketing or improving personal relationships.

Or, you can enroll in a night course at your community college on the subject of financial intelligence and volunteer for a local organization once or twice a month to start building new relationships.

Your possibilities are limited only by your imagination and if you need help with that, find others to assist. Brainstorming is a powerful exercise.

Focus on these four cornerstones, commit to giving necessary attention and energy to each and your business will be built on a solid foundation and capable of exponential growth.

Do You Achieve Success through Fate or Free Will?

Great has been the controversy in the past, is success created thru fate or free-will. On the one hand, fatalists claim that man is so closely bound to the wheel of fate it is impossible for him to live his life in any different way than that which is mapped out for him. He can bring a quantity of first-class evidence in support of his claim and believes in his theory with all his heart. On the other hand, the advocate of free-will believes just as whole-heartedly that man is not bound at all, being as free as air. He, too, can bring plenty of evidence in support of his theory, which confirms him in his belief. Each one of them thinks that the other is wrong, yet they cannot both be wrong! Let us therefore examine the subject for ourselves, for it is an important one.

First of all, let it be said, they are both wrong, in part, and right in part. Man is bound to the wheel, yet, at the same time, he has free-will. Let us, therefore, explain this seeming paradox.

It is an ancient truth of the inner teaching that man, when he is unevolved and before he is "unfolded," is bound to the wheel of fate very closely. The unevolved man follows his desires and let’s his emotions rule is life, thus creating for himself a future from which he cannot escape. When however, he becomes more evolved he begins to resist following his desires, takes control of his emotions, and strives, instead, to follow higher things. This creates for him a better future and thus he becomes free in comparison with his former slave state. Man is a slave to fate as long as he is a slave to his emotions and the desires of the earth plane. He is, however, free to overcome lower things and thus rise to higher. When he does this he ceases to create a painful future for himself and thus becomes emotionally and spiritually free.

There is, therefore, fate which is self created. One who has not had much experience of life or who has not been a close observer, may deny that there is such a thing, but one who has had great changes in his life, against which he has fought and struggled in vain, knows that there is a purpose working behind the events of life, against which even kings and mighty men are powerless. There come times in man’s life when he moves heaven and earth, figuratively speaking: prays until he can pray no more; sacrifices, it may be, his money, his health, his prospects, and does everything that is in the power of a human being in a vain attempt to starve off a threatened disaster. But, in spite of all his efforts, in spite of his cries to a pitiless heaven, the relentless march of fate cannot be stayed. It moves forward like a huge juggernaut and crushes his hopes, his dearest idol, his very life itself or all that then makes his life worth living—and leaves him desolate and success of any kind is unattainable.

"If then," you may ask, "fate is so pitiless and so powerful, what can be done with it and where does free-will enter into the matter?" In reply it must be admitted at one that it is no use fighting fate. The more man fights it, the more completely he gets broken. There are certain main events in life which must come to pass. These events and changes are inevitable and it is hopeless to fight against them. While these things, which constitute what we call fate, are inevitable and therefore cannot be avoided, it rests with ourselves how we meet these adversities and disasters. If we meet them in the wrong mental and emotional state they break us. If however, we meet them in the right mental and emotional state we become stronger through discipline and experience, thus becoming better fitted to bear life’s responsibilities and to overcome its difficulties and temptations. One who meets the setbacks, griefs, bereavements and disasters of life in the right spirit becomes emotional free, strong and rich in character. He becomes mellowed through experience, strong, stable, a helpful influence to all who meet him.

When things go smoothly and life is a merry-go-round, no philosophy or religion seems necessary, and "as for an inward power, what of it, we can do very well without it. " So say the foolish and inexperienced, but there come times in every man’s life, when in deepest despair, calls out to his God and not only is a very good philosophy, necessary, but also a power, of which the human self knows nothing, is needed in order to raise the soul out of the dust and ashes of its despair. It is one thing to meet trouble and adversity in the right spirit, with the right emotions and quite another thing to have the power to do so. One who thinks that he has no power within him but that all the power is in circumstances, can never rise victorious over his troubles and achieve success; but one who realizes that he possesses a wonderful power that can raise him up, no matter how crushed he may be, can never be a failure in life. He will meet with failures and set-backs but he will make of these, stepping-stones to success.

Psalm 107:13 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.

In addition to the "fate" or "future" which every thought and action builds, there is, behind all evolution, a gigantic plan. This wonderful plan that embraces all, from the stupendous conception of a limitless universe down to the smallest electron, is being worked out through the ages with absolute precision. Nothing can prevent this plan from being brought into manifestation. It gathers up our past and weaves it into our present life; just the same way that it is busily gathering up our present life and weaving it into future fate. It works it all into the big plan, somehow, and with infinite skill. The plan is bound to be followed (this, too, is fate) but HOW we follow it, either with emotions of willingness and happiness or opposition or woe, rests with us (this is free will).

Let the despairing take heart again. Believe in the Power with you and you will rise to heights before undreamed of. With this Power to help you, you can achieve unlimited success.

Please be honest with yourself, when I ask you this question. When you started your own home based business, was that because you found great benefits of the product and/or service or were you fascinated with the opportunity that came along to make some extra money into your pocket?

What do you think, are there more people starting a home based business looking for extra money, because the compensation plan and the opportunity is something that they have to take advantage of, or are there more people who are so excited about the benefits of that product and/or service that they want to know more about the business behind the product and/or service?

Which of those people would you prefer in your business? The ones who follow opportunities or the ones who have benefits of the product and/or service? I think you know the answer.

If you want to start your own home based business, you first have to figure out what the products or services are. If it's health and wellness, use it first for a couple of months. If it's a marketing product, learn all the features they provide. Don't look yet at the compensation plan or other opportunity materials. I know it is hard, because you know you can earn a lot of money with this product and/or service.

There are a couple of reasons why you have to do this in this particular way:

1. You MUST position yourself as the expert of your product and/or service. You can only do this by experience and knowledge.

2. Then, you can master prospecting one on one on a cold targeted lead.

3. Then, you can master closing one on one.

4. Then, you can make your own presentation about the product and/or service.

5. Then, you can teach others in your downline to master step 1,2 and 3.

When you start marketing your product and/or service, begin with the telephone. It is the most cheapest way, and the best training feature in the whole wide world. After you make some money with the phone, you continue with advanced marketing techniques.

95% of the people in networkmarketing fail, because they don't lead with the product and/or service, but with the opportunity. And believe me, a lot of opportunity-based companies are starting every day.
